30 Day Self Love Challenge: Love & Appreciate Yourself More

How have you been treating yourself lately? How do you talk to yourself when nobody else is around? Negatively or positively? If you think the voices in your head are not kind and you need to learn how to love yourself and therefore a 30 day self love challenge may be just what you need to improve your self love.

How do I show myself self-love?

A simple way to show yourself self love is to replace criticism with appreciation, be positive while talking about yourself, respecting and create boundaries for yourself. And to accomplish this, for the next thirty days you will be given a challenge every day in this 30 day self love challenge.  All of these are designed to bring about more joy, abundance, acceptance, and love in your life.

Let’s start with your 30 days of self love

Love yourself 30 day challenge.1: Knowing About Yourself

Day 1: 

Write down 10 things you love about yourself. Think about what your best qualities are, what you’re best at. Write only positive things about yourself. What are your strengths? What do you love about your body?

The list is pretty amazing, right? stick it on your mirror, wall, or wardrobe door. It needs to be somewhere you’ll see it every day 

Day 2: 

Start a gratitude journal, or create a gratitude list. What are you most grateful for? Think about what you appreciate most in your daily routine, relationships, and yourself, is it a cup of coffee? your pet? Your best friend? Write down 10 things that come to your mind for which you are grateful for

Day 3:

Take some time to get to know yourself better. The better you know yourself, the easier it becomes to learn to love yourself.

Ask yourself these questions, write down your answers, and read them afterward to know the pattern of your thinking. 

Day 4:

Write down 5 positive affirmations and read them aloud. Affirmations help us to think more positively about ourselves. Pick up the affirmations which resonate with you from this list of self love affirmations and stick it somewhere you can see them easily.

How you talk to yourself is so important therefore commit to saying them every morning for this challenge and see if changes happen.

Day 5: 

Is about Working on your mindset. Do you fall into the trap of negative self-talking and overthinking? Then step out today to take a step toward feeling better, take a course or talk to a therapist.  You have to Stop allowing overwhelm & overthinking to steal your happiness.

Day 6:

Read up on Mindfulness Meditation, try a Guided Meditation, and consider how you could incorporate it into your life. Take some time today to be with yourself. Show yourself a little self love today by sitting down for at least ten minutes, focusing on your breath, and quieting your mind.

Day 7: 

Spend a whole day doing something you really love. Whether it’s reading, baking, shopping, or painting. 

You can do something you love every day for some time. Every day can be a “love yourself day”.

30 Self Love Challenge Week 2: Is all about your body

Day 8:

Write down 5 things you love about your body. Many women have less than a great relationship with their bodies. You may have judged your body or put yourself down but today make a list of what you appreciate in your body. Positive self-talk is the ultimate way to show yourself love because it can transform how you feel and see yourself.

So repeat your list out loud in front of the mirror.

Day 9: 

Get some extra sleep. If you have messed up your sleep schedule. Solve it tonight by getting extra Zzzz!  Prepare for this by not drinking caffeine late in the day, making sure your schedule is clear for this evening, and that you don’t have anything early tomorrow morning that would conflict with getting a good night’s sleep.

Stretch 10 min before and observe how much better your body feels before it lays down.

Day 10:

Exercising! Today it’s time to get your amazing body moving. Decide on whichever activity you like to do. Running or walking. Or skipping ropes.  

During your 30 day self love journey, you do not have to feel a burden to do things. This challenge is about showing yourself what your body is capable of and being grateful for it.

Day 11:

Feeling dehydrated or having headaches almost every day then probably you are not hydrating yourself enough. Do you know Water can cure many problems? So today set a timer or carry a water bottle with hourly marks so you drink Enough water. 

Day 12: 

Today, try a new healthy recipe. Cook a healthy meal for dinner or maybe for all the meal times. Go on Pinterest and search for that dish you always wanted to try and it’s actually easy to find such recipes too. Healthy food and exercise are not punishments, they are self-love. Challenge yourself to see it this way.

Day 13:

Get outside, go for a walk for 15 minutes in a nearby park or just go and sit outside.

Take the fresh air and sunlight. Breathe in the beauty of nature around you. Be sure your 30 days of self love include spending time outside!

Day 14:

Of Course, I have to include this in the 30 day self love challenge. A social media break. Social media is amazing but it also leads us to compare ourselves to others’ lives. So take a break from it for one day. Spend time with yourself, with family or friends. Connect with them.

Or just do some other fun activities like Dance? Do yoga? Anything purposeful for your body and mind.

Week 3 and Week 4 Of 30 Day Self Love Challenge are about your relationships, treating yourself, and nurturing your mindset.

Week 3: 

Day 15:

Plan a date. Spend some time with your partner or friend. Plan a date, visit the place you always wanted to or food you always wanted to try with someone. If going out isn’t possible, plan a date at home. Whatever it is, plan this special time for your loved one and for yourself.

Day 16: 

Do a random act of kindness. Show some love to others, and you’ll love yourself too. Give someone a compliment, give a small gift to your partner, or send a note to a friend of appreciation. Helping others makes you feel warm and whole.

Day 17:

Write down all the accomplishments you made today. Small or big doesn’t matter. Give yourself the credit, acknowledge the work you’ve been putting into it and celebrate it. 

Day 18:

Make a vision board. You have got the vision, you know your goals so why not put them on board to get inspired daily. Here’s the guide to making a vision board and some amazing vision board quotes to influence you.

Day 19:

Buy yourself flowers, coz why not? 

Day 20:

Create a Sunday self care routine. It’s important to recharge and relax at the end of the week so we can smash our goals for the next week. Here are some Sunday self care ideas to pamper yourself.

Day 21:

Write yourself a love note/letter. Write down what you love about yourself? A detailed paragraph would be great. So when you are feeling low next time, pull up that letter to read to lift you back up!

Week 4: 

Day 22:

Listen to your favorite music. Music soothes the soul. So create a playlist today to cheer you up, or the songs that empower and inspire you to love and appreciate yourself. Listen to that playlist while heading to work or during the shower. 

Day 23:

Read a good book. Empowering self help books or any genre of your liking. You are worthy of spending some alone time, immersed in your books with your favorite characters, so you can recharge.  Grab a book, cozy up in your space, and tune out the rest of the world.

Day 24:

Donate for a good cause. Giving to others and showering them with love is one of the most powerful ways to bring that love right back to you so during these 30 days of self love spread some happiness and love with others. No matter the amount, donate what you can to a cause that you deeply care about.

Day 25:

Treat yourself to a spa treatment. Pamper yourself with a haircut, manicure, any spa treatment you’ve wanted to try, or massages. Self love is also about making the time, even if it’s just a couple of minutes, for yourself and showing yourself over and over again that you deserve it. 

Day 26:

Another important part of the 30 day self love challenge is decluttering your life. We all feel relief when things are a little tidier. So today declutter any one thing, whether it’s your inboxes, your desk, or the whole office. Make some space because it brings peace and your mind can think more clearly.

Day 27:

Write a list of all the things you’re proud of – about yourself, about your life. After that, write a list of all the things you want to do and feel proud that you have this passion, direction and all these things to look forward to.

Day 28:

Take that course you’ve always wanted to. It can be either about painting, sewing, calligraphy, or anything you’ve wanted to learn for a long time and you have saved that page of that course but not bought yet. Buy that, fulfill your wish to learn something you want to.

for Day 29:

Sit and review how your 30 day self love challenge was? How did you feel? How do you feel now? In what ways have you improved? There’s still going to be progress left to make, things still to work on. But if you’ve followed this challenge properly, you should notice some differences.

Day 30: 

Start a self love journal, Here are some quick questions to get you started.

  • How can I support myself today?
  • What boundaries do I need to set for myself?
  • Where in your life do you need to slow down and take your time?
  • What makes me happy?
